Description: The NBA Community Assist Award recognizes the charitable and philanthropic efforts of NBA players. DeMarre Carroll was one of the finalists for this award in the 2016-2017 season. During his season, DeMarre has dedicated his time to making a positive impact in the community. In addition to hosting holiday parties for youth at a non profit that offers youth mentorship programs, DeMarre prepped and served food at a local shelter and donated much needed items to a animal shelter, where he also spent time with both the employees and animals.
